Auburn Police Officer's Union Local 195 launches GoFundMe page to benefit Auburn families in need.
For the 2nd year, members of the Auburn Police Local 195 in cooperation with Chief Shawn Butler and Deputy Chief Roger Anthony will take part in the campaign known as “No Shave November”.  This year however we would like to raise money for families within our own community that are in need. Participating members will pledge a minimum of $50 each in order to participate.  All the money raised will be used to sponsor selected families in need in order for them to be able to celebrate Christmas with food for traditional dinner and gifts to open under a decorated tree.  Giving back to our community is something that is important to our men and women who wear the badge and we are excited to participate in this event.  Money raised will also go towards APD’s first “Shop with a Cop” event scheduled for December 16, 2017 in which children in need from the community will be teamed up with an APD Officer and shop for their family members, as well as, a special gift for themselves.  Participating officers will then host all of the children at a pizza party where they will also wrap the presents for their family members.
