Information on the City 2017 Road Improvement Program Construction
October 15, 2017
The 2017 Road Program will be milling phase 2 streets starting October 18, 2017.  These streets include:
1. West Clymer Street from Arlington Avenue to Dunning Avenue
2. Leavenworth Street from Saint Anthony Street through house #122
3. Grove Avenue from Hamilton Avenue to Swift Street
4. Osborne Street from Lincoln Street to Lake Avenue
5. Janet St (Only Milling) from Logan Street through  house #6

In addition to the milling of phase 2 streets, Vitale will be placing final asphalt on phase 1 streets.  These streets include:
1. Shevchenko Avenue from Perrine Avenue to Pulaski Street
2. Grant Street from Washington Street to State Street
3. Perrine Street (east end) from the rail-road tracks to North Street
4. McIntosh Drive from 125 feet west of Grant Avenue to 575 feet further west
5. Franklin Street from North Fulton Street to South Lewis Street
6. South Lewis Street from Franklin Street to East Genesee Street
7. Bradford Street from Howard Street to Maple Street
8. Maple Street from Walnut Street to Frances Street

These streets will all have construction delays when the contractor is on the street.  Notifications have been handed out to homeowners and signs will be placed on the street the night before milling or paving so that cars don’t park on the street the day of construction.  Phase 1 streets should be substantially complete by the end of October.  Please exercise caution while navigating though these construction areas since normal traffic patterns will change.

September 25, 2017 - NOTICE - New York State Electric and Gas (NYSEG’s) contractor, Dekatherm, has arranged for the asphalt milling and placement of Genesee Street to begin Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at night.  Crews will begin setting up around 9 PM and will continue through the overnight hours.  They will be placing asphalt immediately after the trench has been milled throughout the length of the street from the area of the Loop road on the east through James Street on the west.
