Mayor Michael D. Quill

Auburn Mayor Mike Quill is no stranger to serving the citizens of Auburn.  Prior to taking office as the 55th Mayor of Auburn, Quill served on the City's fire department for 32 years, retiring as Fire Chief.
Quill-Family..jpgMayor Quill followed in his father's footsteps, joining the Auburn Fire Department in 1973 after serving  four years in the United States Marine Corps part of which was serving in Viet Nam.  Mayor Quill and his wife have been married 39 years all of which was spent  in Auburn where they raised their two children Michael  and Coleen.

Several generations of the Quill family have raised families, worked and  enjoyed all that Auburn has to offer.  Mayor Quill is one of the city's best   ambassadors. Just ask him about Auburn…

"The older I get the more I appreciate what Auburn has to offer.  We have easy access to an outstanding full service hospital - Auburn Memorial Hospital.

Families here know that the  Auburn's school system offers an excellent education program from pre-K to 12th grade.  In a time when the cost of higher education is beyond reach for many, we have an affordable alternative - Cayuga Community College - one of 64 accredited SUNY colleges and its right here in Auburn!
And where else can you see a Class A Minor League Baseball game on a hot summer night? Falcon Park  in Auburn!  It is the place to see the Auburn Doubledays.  If you crave musical theatre, we have the Musical Theatre Festival, and the Merry Go Round Playhouse - Broadway is here!
There are so many great reasons to live in or visit Auburn.  Did I mention the nationally recognized wineries just minutes away, our beautiful lakes, and historic treasures?  You get the idea!"
