Meets Annually to Hear Property Assessment Grievances

The 2024 Board of Assessment Review will have the following meetings: 

           Wednesday, April 3rd 9am - 1pm

           Thursday, April 4th 4pm - 8pm

           Friday, April 5th 1pm - 5pm

           Saturday, April 6th  9am- 1pm

The Board of Assessment Review (BAR) consists of five residents of the community appointed by the City Council. The BAR’s sole purpose is to arrive at a fair and impartial decision regarding the assessment on property. The BAR hearings evaluate assessment reviews (grievance applications) and are open to the public under the State’s Open Meeting Law. Typically the BAR meets the last week of March each year. Transcripts of the hearings shall be available on the City of Auburn website subsequent to the final administration of the hearings.
