Auburn City Council January 27, 2022 - The City of Auburn City Council meets on the first four Thursdays of each month beginning at 5:00 p.m. at Memorial City Hall in Auburn, NY. Members of Council present at the January 27, 2022 meeting were Councilor Ginny Kent, Councilor Jimmy Giannettino, Councilor Terry Cuddy, Councilor Tim Locastro and Mayor Michael D. Quill.
City Council meeting Recap:
The following matters were before the Council:
Local Law #1 of 2022: Enacting the adoption of Section 458-b of the Real Property Tax Law providing for Cold War Veterans Exemption from Real Property Taxes & elimination of the 10 year limit. This was presented as a FIRST READING for the local law.
Agreement Resolution #17 of 2022 Authorizing a Settlement Sharing Agreement and Release with Defendant Allergan Relating to the Opioid Litigation. Carried 5-0.
Council Resolution #18 of 2022 Requesting that New York State Governor Hochul and all New York State Representatives Acknowledge Emergency Medical Service (EMS) Providers as Essential Health Care Providers and Include EMS in the Final New York State Budget. Carried 5-0.
STAFF/VENDOR PRESENTATIONS:
A. Chapel House Redevelopment – Chris Trevisani, Vice President, Housing Visions. This item was postponed due to the presenter not able to attend and will be reschedduled for a Council meeting in February 2022.
