9/11 Wreath Laying Ceremony

Mayor Quill at 9/11 ceremony

Mayor Michael Quill along with members of the Auburn City Council invite the public to a wreath laying ceremony that will be held on Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at 8:35 AM at the site of the 9/11 Memorial located on the South Lawn of Memorial City Hall at 24 South Street in Auburn.

Mayor Quill has proclaimed September 11, 2019 as Patriot Day in the City of Auburn.  Patriot Day is an annual observance on September 11 to remember those who were injured or died during the terrorist attacks in the United States on September 11, 2001. In 2011, on the 10th Anniversary, the City of Auburn established a permanent memorial to provide a means to reflect on and aid in healing for all those that visit.

The ceremony is free and is open to the public. For more information or directions, please contact the Mayor’s Office at (315) 255-4104.
