PUBLIC NOTICE:  In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, City Hall and all other city facilities are closed to the public effective March 18, 2020 – until further notice.  Info

The Living Willow Design Meetings will be postponed and rescheduled in the future.

 

The Miles-Lepak aka Permaculture Park will be receiving an upgrade in 2020.

Project Funding: Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) 100%  $178,000.

Project Description: To support the urban food forest and permaculture park, the CDBG program will be installing a natural living willow structure at the park. Additional improvements to the pedestrian pathway system and benches.

You’re Invited!  The City of Auburn is working with nationally recognized willow artist, Bonnie Gale, www.livingwillow.info to design and install a living willow structure in Miles-Lepak / Auburn Permaculture Park. A series of introductory public community and group meetings were held in January and February at locations around Auburn. Now we are ready for the design phase, we encourage and welcome your input!

There will be three public meetings all held at the Booker T. Washington Community Center, 23 Chapman Avenue.

March 18, 2020, 6 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.

March 25, 2020, 6 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.

April 1, 2020, 6 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
