Full Slate of Summer Events Will Return to Auburn, NY This Summer

June 18, 2021 Auburn, NY - Summer events are back and July through September 2021 will look very similar to pre-covid summers with City of Auburn Parks and downtown events. 

The City of Auburn is pleased to announce that plans are underway to make sure that the following list of summer events will happen this summer. Some events are already planned and underway, others will have details announced by the end of the month of June. Here is an updated list of what is happening and what will be back this summer:

The Auburn Doubledays season is underway at Falcon Park and stadium operations are back to normal. Info: www.auburndoubledays.com

Downtown Auburn Saturday Markets are underway every Saturday morning 9am until 1pm at the heritage center, 25 South Street. Find market info on facebook:  https://www.facebook.com/saturdaymarketauburnny

Casey Park Pool – pool will be open for the summer in July & August and is operated in partnership with the Auburn YMCA. Info: www.auburnny.gov/casey

NEW – ‘ROCK the TOP’ summer concert series in downtown Auburn on top of the downtown parking garage. There will be four of these summer concerts. Info: www.auburnny.gov/rockthetop

NEW – ‘Monday Movie Mania’ this July and August City Parks & Recreation will be bringing a family friendly movie to parks throughout the city. Showtime is 8:30 p.m. or dark, whichever comes first. Residents are encouraged to bring their own chairs, blankets and popcorn. Info: www.auburnny.gov/mondaymovie

Summer Concerts in City Parks – concerts will be back every Tuesday evening from July 13th through August 31st at Hoopes Park. Music is from 6:30 p.m. through 8:30 p.m.  There will also be concerts this summer at other city parks to be scheduled on some Wednesday and Thursday evenings. Children's Summer Theater in the Parks returns with three showings of the REV Theater's "The Golden Goose".  Click here for details.

Founders Day Weekend – mark your calendar for Friday and Saturday, August 6th and 7th for the annual Founders Day celebration. New this year will be a Founders Day Parade on Friday at 6 p.m. followed by live music on the show-mobile in downtown Auburn. On Saturday, Founders Day activities return with art and food vendors, food trucks, and a antique and classic car cruise-in with Finger Lakes Region Antique Auto Club of America, the Poorboys, the Prison City Ramblers and the Cayuga Cruisers. Following the car cruise-in there will be live music on the show-mobile in downtown in the evening. The Friday parade registration and all event details will be forthcoming by the end of June. CNY Tomatofest – mark your calendar for Saturday, September 11th for the return of the CNY Tomatofest to downtown. Event details forthcoming.
