Living Willow Project Design Process Information

The City of Auburn, in combination with the Auburn Permaculture Park and willow artist, Bonnie Gale, has been working on brining a community designed living willow structure to Miles Lepak Permaculture Park in Auburn.  This past fall, a series of educational workshops were held throughout Auburn.  As the City of Auburn was preparing a series of design workshops, the COVID-19  pandemic paused public meetings. Therefore, the City of Auburn is providing an electronic Design Guide that will provide the community with resources to create a living willow structure design and then submit the proposed design to city staff.  This resource can also be used as a home schooling guide for families with children at home. All are encouraged to provide design ideas and may do so by accessing the guide on the City of Auburn’s website: www.auburnny.gov or contacting rjensen@auburnny.gov via phone 315-253-3513 for a mailed hardcopy. All designs are to be submitted to rjensen@auburnny.gov by May 15, 2020.  Designs may also be sent via mail to City of Auburn, Office of Planning and Economic Development, 24 South Street, Auburn, NY 13021.
