Mayor Quill's Biography

Auburn Mayor Mike Quill is no stranger to serving the citizens of Auburn. Prior to taking office as the 55th Mayor of Auburn, Quill served on the City's fire department for 32 years, retiring as Fire Chief.

Mayor Quill followed in his father's footsteps, joining the Auburn Fire Department in 1973 after serving four years in the United States Marine Corps part of which was serving in Vietnam. Mayor Quill and his wife have been married 40 years all of which was spent in Auburn where they raised their two children Michael and Colleen. 

Several generations of the Quill family have raised families, worked and enjoyed all that Auburn has to offer. Mayor Quill is one of the city's best ambassadors. Just ask him about Auburn…
