Detective

The Auburn Police Department’s Detective Bureau consists of five Detectives and one Captain. The Detective Bureau’s main function is to investigate serious crimes. The natures of these crimes are many and varied. Most crimes investigated are felonies in which the victims are physically injured, sexually assaulted or sustain a significant financial loss. The types of crimes that are commonly handled are Homicide, Rape, Robbery, Assaults with weapons, Burglary, Grand Larceny and Identity Theft. A Detective is on call 24 hours a day so that they may respond whenever the investigation of a serious crime is required.
