Alternate Side Parking

The City of Auburn mandates alternate side parking to encourage efficient flow of traffic for law enforcement, medical, and other related entities, as well as provide maximum coverage area for snow plows, street sweepers, and other related city vehicles.

§~285-13 Alternate parking

  1. Year-round. Except where otherwise prohibited, vehicles shall not be parked on even-numbered sides of streets on odd-numbered days of the month for a twenty-four-hour period commencing at 6:00 p.m. nor on odd-numbered sides of streets on even-numbered days of the month for a twenty-four-hour period commencing at 6:00 p.m.
  2. There shall be a period of time from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., each day, during which time the alternate parking regulations will not be enforced in order to allow vehicles a reasonable period of time to be legally parked. This provision shall not apply to any emergency occurrences or situations.
