Public Works

It is the mission of the Department of Public Works to provide, plan, develop, operate and maintain a broad variety of traditional functions in a responsive, efficient and cost effective manner.  

These services include:

• Park and facility maintenance
• The water supply
• Storm water drainage
• Vehicle maintenance repair
• Street maintenance and repair

The Street Maintenance Division of the Public Works Department provides for sweeping, plowing, and repair of the City's 314 streets consisting of over 101 miles.

The Division of Sewer Maintenance of the Public Works Department maintains the City's sewer system, which consists of 109 miles of sanitary sewers.
