Auburn Conservation Corps Summer Camp

This camp aims to engage and enrich young people through educational, civic-minded, hands-on experiences in outdoor natural resource conservation that will serve their communities by improving the social and natural environment. Open to 12-14 year olds within the nine component Cayuga-Onondaga BOCES school districts. It is also a great way for students to earn community services credits for school organizations.
These practical outdoor activities will introduce students to conservation professions and provide a bridge to gainful employment through occupational modeling:
• Field Work Activities
• Tree Planting and Care
• Measure and Assess Tree Canopy
• Identify and Manage Invasive Plants
• Trail Construction and Maintenance
• Stream Monitoring and Restoration

Campers will be dropped off at Cayuga-Onondaga BOCES Regional Education Center (REC) at 8:45am. They will have training in the morning session at the REC, then go on-site for fieldwork activities.
Limited to 12 campers.
