The Parks and Recreation Department announces sponsorship opportunities for the Summer 2020 Music and Movies program.

The City of Auburn is thinking of summer! Planning is in the early stages for this year’s special events and Summer Concert Series in the parks! If you are a local or semi-local musician or band, we are seeking talented performers to possibly be a part of our summer lineup! Prospective bands should be able to provide a band bio, plus samples of audio clips or video performances, and a social media presence helps as well. All genres of music are welcome, though please keep in mind, all City of Auburn events are family-friendly. We are also not looking for any karaoke or sound machine type material. 2020 Memorial Day Parade & Food Truck Rodeo

Monday, May 25, 2020 11am - 2pm

Come celebrate this Memorial Day, Monday, May 25th, with the City of Auburn's Annual Memorial Day Parade taking place on Genesee Street at 11am. After the parade, enjoy an added performance by Downbeat Percussion on the Loop Road Owasco Rivertrail Overlook. Following that, attend the Veteran's Memorial Park ceremony at noon and the Kiwanis Duck Derby at Market Street Park at 1pm. For lunch, check out the Downtown Auburn BID's Food Truck Rodeo on Loop Road from 11am-2pm. Mobile food vendors include: Wolf's Patio Pizza, Tonzi's Catering Company, Elbita's Cocina, Muzzi's Italian Ice and Miss Alice's Mad Hatter Cotton Candy.

Completed forms should be returned to the to the Parks and Recreation office in the basement of Memorial City Hall, 24 South Street no later than May 15, 2020. 

Sizzin Summer Kick-off and Sidewalk Art Competition

Saturday, June 20, 2020

The City is looking for food vendors and artists/crafters to participate in this year's 5th Annual Sizzlin' Summer Kick-off in downtown Auburn!  This event will be held on Exchange Street Plaza, on Lincoln Street, and on the grounds of the Equal Rights Heritage Center, 25 South Street. Application deadline for vendors is June 5th, 2020.

Let's Chalk About it Again! 2020 Sidewalk Art Competition


Come transform the sidewalks surrounding the Equal Rights Heritage Center into works of art! In it's third year, this event continues to grow and evolve. If you'd like to be a part of the fun, please complete the pre-registration form and turn it in to Parks and Recreation office by June 12th. If you have any questions, please call 315-255-4737.
