The Auburn City Council met at Memorial City Hall on Thursday, March 10, 2022 for a work session meeting. Mayor Quill and all members of City Council were in attendance. Mayor Quill proclaimed March 10, 2022 as Harriet Tubman Day and 2022 as the Year of the Harriet Tubman Bicentennial. Tubman descendant Pauline Copes Johnson accepted the proclamation and addressed the Council about the life of Harriet Tubman. The City of Auburn is celebrating the Bicentennial of Harriet Tubman's birth with events that will last from now through summer of 2022. Presentation 1: Solar Installation Project At Former City Landfill Site Is Set To Begin.  Presenters from True Green Capital Management, Noah Siegel, Associate & Amy Harris, Chief of Marketing Officer for the Solar Farms - New York Platform reviewed a new program for City residents that are NYSEG customers to be able to sign-up and save 10% on electric bills, the offer is limited to the first 770 City residents that sign up. Click here for info.

Presentation 2: Fiscal Outlook of Water Fund.  Seth Jensen, the City's Director of Municipal Utilities presented to the City Council an overview and fiscal forecast of the Water Utility fund. Jensen presented various scenarios that the Council could consider to address the fiscal stability of the fund for future years. view presentation slides
