May 19, 2022 The City of Auburn City Council meets on the first four Thursdays of each month beginning at 5:00 p.m. at Memorial City Hall in Auburn, NY. Members of Council present at the May 19, 2022 meeting were Mayor Michael D. Quill, Councilor Ginny Kent, Councilor Jimmy Giannettino, Councilor Terry Cuddy, Councilor Tim Locastro.

A public hearing on the City Manager's Proposed Fiscal Year 2022 - 2023 City Budget was held.

Mayor Quill proclaimed May 2022 as National Tennis Month in the City of Auburn.  Claire Minnoe representing Auburn Community Tennis accepted the proclamation. View the proclamation.  On Saturday, May 21, 2022 there will be a Tennis Festival held at Clifford Park to celebrate the sport of tennis. Info.

Mayor Quill proclaimed May 2022 as Motorcycle Safety Month in the City of Auburn. Dennis Pelmear representing American Bikers Aimed Towards Education of Cayuga County (ABATE) accepted the proclamation. View the proclamation.

The City Council voted on the following resolutions:

  • Agreement Resolution #50 of 2022 Authorizing an Amended Agreement with Auburn Baseball, Inc. (carried 5-0) 
  • Agreement Resolution #51 of 2022 Authorizing a Change Order to CDM Smith for the Combined Sewer Overflow Project (carried 5-0)
  • Award Resolution #52 of 2022 Awarding a Contract for the 2022 Revolving Loan Sidewalk Program (carried 5-0)
  • Grant Resolution #53 of 2022 Authorizing an Application for FY 2021 Hazard Mitigation Grant Program Funding Under DR-4625 & DR-4480 (carried 5-0)
  • Grant Resolution #54 of 2022 Authorizing an Application for Fiscal Year 2021 Hazard Mitigation Grant Program Funding under DR-4480 (carried 5-0)
  • Grant Acceptance Resolution #55 of 2022 Authorizing Grant Funding From the U.S. Tennis Association For Summer Tennis Programming (carried 5-0)
  • Land Sale Resolution #56 of 2022 Authorizing a Land Sale for 296 State Street (carried 5-0)
  • Financial Resolution #57 of 2022 Authorizing Various Budget Transfers (carried 5-0)
