City Council Announces $1.25 Million in Grants to Non-Profit Organizations for Programs to Assist with Recovery From the COVID Pandemic

Mayor Michael D. Quill and the members of the City Council of Auburn are pleased to announce that assistance for non-profit organizations in the City is on the way.  $1.25 million of the City’s American Rescue Plan Act funding has been allocated following a request for proposals process conducted by the City this summer.

“These non-profit organizations are on the front lines of service delivery to the people of our community and they were all impacted by the pandemic.  Despite being impacted they continued to serve those in need in our community and we are pleased to provide these resources to help them continue their great work,” stated Mayor Michael D. Quill.

The following nonprofits are set to receive American Rescue Plan Act direct benefit funding from the city of Auburn:

• ABC Cayuga Inc., 100 North St., Suite 2, Auburn NY 13021: $29,000

• Catholic Charities of the Finger Lakes, Division of Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Rochester, 94 Exchange St., Geneva, NY 14456: $20,000

• Cayuga Counseling Services Inc., 17 E. Genesee St., Auburn NY 13021: $40,000

• Cayuga County Habitat for Humanity, 110 Genesee St., Auburn NY 13021: $25,000

• Chapel House Inc., 36 Franklin St., Auburn, NY 13021: $5,000

• United Cerebral Palsy Association of Cayuga County Inc., aka E. John Gavras Center, 182 North Street, Auburn, NY 13021: $12,000

• Mozaic Chapter, NYSARC, Inc. 1083 Waterloo-Geneva Rd., Waterloo, NY 13165, $40,000

• Nick’s Ride 4 Friends Inc., 13 Chapel Street, Auburn, NY 13021, $21,000

• PFI Housing Company of Auburn, Inc. (Edward T. Boyle Center), 149 Genesee Street, Auburn, NY 13021: $15,000

• The Merry-Go-Round Playhouse D/B/A The REV Theatre Company, 282 North Street, Suite G, Auburn, NY 13021: $26,950
