Finger Lakes Railway Announces Planned Temporary Closure of Crossing at North Street (NYS RT 34) and York Street in Auburn from November 2 – 6, 2023

Beginning on November 2, 2023 at 11 am Finger Lakes Railway will be closing North St/Route 34 at the Railroad Crossing to perform construction that will completely replace and upgrade the crossing.  The full closure will last from Thursday, November 2nd through Monday, November 6th. 

Finger Lakes Railway will be placing variable message boards forecasting the closure in place starting next week with a full planned Detour route being set in place (See Attached Detour  Drawing).

The Detour Route will be as follows:

• Travelers on NYS Route 34 north of Auburn traveling south on RT 34 will be detoured west at Turnpike Road to RT 38 south to RT 5 & 20 east to RT 34 south. 
• Travelers on NYS Route 34 in Auburn traveling north on RT 34 will be detoured at RT 5 & 20 west to RT 38 north to Turnpike Road to RT 34 south.
