Governor Announces New Tree Grant Awarded to Auburn on Arbor Day 2024

April 26, 2024 - "On behalf of the members of City Council I would like to thank Governor Hochul on the Arbor Day announcement that the City of Auburn is recipient of a $22,500 Tree Planting Grant.  The Governor has made it a priority to help cities such as Auburn as we recover from the removal of hundreds of trees due to the Emerald Ash Borer and this grant announcement will go a long ways toward that recovery." - Mayor James N. Giannettino

On behalf of the Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC), I want to congratulate you for a successful application. City of Auburn's “Tree Planting in Disadvantaged Communities located in the City of Auburn” (DEC01-UCF2-2023-00004) has been approved for an award of $22,500."
