JANUARY 9th WIND STORM DAMAGE CLEANUP SCHEDULE

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – JANUARY 10, 2024 - Download the Public Notice as PDF

To assist our City of Auburn residents as we all clean up and recover from the recent wind storm, there are large quantities of tree debris and brush to dispose of.  As a result, the City of Auburn is providing a special brush and tree limb collection.  This collection will be Saturday January 13, 2024.  We will begin at 7 am and hope to get through the entire City on this day.  However, if your brush and debris is not collected on this day, please be patient and we will get to your location within the next day or two.  Please adhere to the following rules:

  • Please get all debris to the curb line but not in the street.
  • Please have all material to the curb by Saturday, January 13, 2024 by 7:00am.
  • Do not block the sidewalks with the material.
  • Please stack as neatly as possible with branches facing the same direction and parallel with the road.
  • Please do not have individual pieces longer than 8’ in length.
  • Please do not stack debris near telephone poles, fire hydrants, etc.
  • Please do not park in front of debris piles as this prevents us from accessing the material.

We will also have the Monday yard waste collection on January 15, 2024 even though it is listed on the Streamline as a no collection day.  If you have smaller amounts of sticks and branches, please containerize the material into bins or paper bags and we will collect them on Monday as we normally do.  If your smaller containerized material is not collected Saturday, please be patient and we will collect it on Monday.

These collection events are weather dependent.  The upcoming forecast calls for colder temperatures and snow flurries.  If it snows more than we hope, our brush and debris collection will be delayed, but we will eventually collect the material.  Thank you for understanding.  If there are any questions or concerns, please call the Department of Public Works at 315.255.4155.
