The City of Auburn has been notified that people that signed up to receive utility bill discounts for The Auburn Community Solar Project at the former City Landfill, that discounts will be applied to NYSEG utility bills by spring of 2024.

If you signed up and need more information contact: Eliza Seaver, Customer Experience Associate by email at eliza.seaver@altuspower.com

The Auburn Community Solar Project is officially under construction at the former City Landfill.

Consistent with the City’s clean energy goals, the Auburn Community Solar Project will produce clean, carbon-free solar electricity.

New York State Electric and Gas (NYSEG) customers, including homeowners, renters, and businesses, that reside in Auburn will be eligible for a 10% discount on their monthly electricity costs. There is no charge to sign up for this program and you can cancel any time without penalty.

We recommend that residents and businesses interested in the program sign up at this time: The solar project will produce about 7,700,000 kilowatt hours of electricity each year. This is only enough to offset the usage of the first 770 households in Auburn that sign up.

The City has partnered with Solar Farms New York, a leading developer of community solar, to help you sign up and save, and joining the project is easy:  Go to AuburnCommunitySolar.com or call 315-512-5339.  Please use PROMO code AUB to get a $50 Visa gift card as a thank you for supporting green energy.

With gratitude for your continued support for a cleaner, more affordable Auburn.
