Brownfields Phase 2

Environmental Assessments

Phase II environmental site assessments are conducted after evaluation of the Phase I results to acquire and measure contaminant levels at the site and to help define the cost and extent of possible future clean-up of a particular site.

The scope of work for any individual site assessment is tailored to the type, amount and location of the contamination and may include:

  • Soil Vapor Studies
  • Soil Sampling
  • Monitor Well Installation and Ground Water Sampling
  • Asbestos and Lead Surveys

Below are the DRAFT interpretive reports of four brownfield sites enrolled in the EPA Brownfields Program. Results can be used for planning more extensive site investigations or creating redevelopment plans for individual sites.
