About the City Budget: The City of Auburn fiscal year begins on July 1st of each year. The City Council will adopt a final City Budget by the end of June each year for the next budget year. The annual City Budget is the annual plan that funds the many services provided by local, City of Auburn government. Preparation, review, and eventual adoption of the annual City Budget is a process that lasts several months. For the Fiscal Year 2022-2023 Budget the City Council will begin reviewing budget proposals in the month of April 2022. Budget review will be a topic at weekly Council meetings through adoption of the budget scheduled for June 2, 2022.
Provide Comments on the City Budget: The Mayor and City Council want to hear from residents and property owners of the City about your thoughts on the City Budget. Residents may attend weekly City Council meetings and speak during the Public To Be Heard session held at each City Council meeting. Additionally, you may phone or email your comments to the Mayor and City Councilors. A special Fiscal Year 2022-2023 City Budget Email Comment Page has been added to this site as an easy way for you to email your thoughts about the City Budget.
