BIDDERS LIST

Sealed bids for construction of the Auburn City Court Expansion project for the City of Auburn (the “City”) will be received by the City Manager Office, Memorial City Hall, 24 South Street, Auburn, New York, until 11:30 am, local time, on Tuesday April 23rd, 2024, and at said time publicly opened and read. Each bid must be prepared and submitted in accordance with the Information for Bidders and must be accompanied by Bid Security in the form of a certified check or bid bond (on the form included in the Bidding Documents) in the amount of 5% of the bid.

The project includes comprehensive improvements to the Cayuga County owned building with four (4) contracts: No 1- General Contract, No-2 Plumbing, No-3 Mechanical, and No-4 Electrical. All work will oc-cur on the basement and 1st floor levels of the historic Old Post Office Building located at 157 Genesee St., Auburn NY. The City has entered into a license agreement with Cayuga County for all project work.

Bidding Documents may be downloaded from the City of Auburn website. Prospective Bidders must register with the website as a plan holder. The website will be updated periodically with addenda, lists of registered plan holders, reports, and other information relevant to submitting a Bid for the Project. All official notifications, addenda, and other Bidding Documents will be offered only through the website. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the City of Auburn website. Bidders shall review and acknowledge all addenda on the Bid Form.

Questions shall be submitted in writing to Andrew Petruzzelli, AIA at apetruzzelli@trw-arch.com. The subject heading for all e-mails shall be Auburn City Court Expansion Project.

No response may be given to questions received less than seven calendar days before the Bid opening date.

Printed copies of the Bidding Documents are not available.

A pre-bid conference for the project will be held on Thursday, March 28th, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at the Auburn City Court- 1st Floor, 157 Genesee Street, Auburn, NY 13021. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is non-mandatory. All current New York State and CDC precautions will be required of all pre-bid participants. Security screening is required.

Bidders are advised that contracts will require the contractor and subcontractors to pay prevailing wage rates as a minimum in accordance with the current State Wage Rate Schedules. No Bidder may withdraw its Bid within 45 days after the date of the Bid opening. The successful Bidder must furnish a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Payment Bond with a surety company satisfactory to the City of Auburn and conforming to the prerequisite requirements of the General Conditions.

By December 31, 2024, the City Court Expansion should be ready for occupancy by the City and public use.

The above-described Contract Documents may be examined at no expense at the following location: Office of the City Manager, Memorial City Hall, 24 South Street, Auburn, New York.

The City of Auburn reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any and all bids.
