Request for Proposals: Project: Marketing Services for the NYS Equal Rights Heritage Center

The City of Auburn, NY has issued a request for proposals (RFP) that seeks a marketing firm capable of leading and executing a first ever brand identity process and marketing plan that engages and supports the project. The City invites proposals from interested qualified marketing agencies with experience in brand development and management; digital marketing; social media strategy, implementation, and management; website design and development; and lead generation, follow-up and market research. Preference will be given to agencies providing a broad range of services; subcontracts with local providers to achieve this are acceptable. The City of Auburn, NY (the City) is seeking proposals to establish a new Taste NY food, beverage and retail market at the new NYS Equal Rights Heritage Center to be located at 25 South Street in Auburn, New York. The successful respondent (“Licensee”) will be completely responsible for the operation of this market in accordance with the terms and conditions set forth in this Request for Proposals (“RFP”) and the License subsequently issued by the City.

Genesee Street Paving Project

Sealed bids for the Genesee Street Paving Project, PIN 3756.01 for the City of Auburn will be received at the Engineering Department, Memorial City Hall, 24 South Street, Auburn, New York, until 11:30 a.m. local time, on Tuesday December 5, 2017, and then at said time publicly opened and read in the City Council Chambers.

There will be a non-mandatory pre-bid meeting at 10:00 a.m. local time, on Thursday November 16, 2017 in the City Council Chambers at Memorial City Hall, Auburn, New York.

The project provides for the rehabilitation of the existing pavement, curb ramps, sidewalk repairs, traffic signal and pedestrian signal modifications, new striping and signage, and isolated water/sewer repair work along approximately 1.7 miles of Genesee Street from Bluefield Road to North/South Street (NYS Route 34). All work of the contract shall be entirely completed and performed within 180 calendar days from the date of the notice to proceed or by September 28, 2018, whichever comes earlier.

Exhibits for the Equal Rights Heritage Center

Sealed bids for the Exhibits for the Equal Rights Heritage Center in Auburn, NY will be received at the Office of Planning and Economic Development, Memorial City Hall, 24 South Street, Auburn, New York, until 1:30 pm, local time, on November 29, 2017, and then at said time publicly opened and read. Each bid must be prepared and submitted in accordance with the Information for Bidders and must be accompanied by Bid Security in the form of a certified check or bid bond in the amount of 5% of the bid.
The project consists of contract 1701-XCW Exhibit Work and includes, but is not limited to, the fabrication, installation, and commissioning of exhibits and custom furniture for the Equal Rights Heritage Center in Auburn, NY. The exhibits will be engaging and interactive serving to support both local tourism and highlight the State’s equal rights destinations. The exhibits include video highlight reels, sound booths, product display and sales, digital information screens, wall mounted displays, and custom furniture pieces. It is anticipated that construction on the new 7500 SF Equal Rights Heritage Center, located at 25 South Street, will begin in January 2018 and will be ready for occupancy and operation by October 2018.
Bidders are advised that contracts will require the contractor and subcontractors to pay prevailing wage rates as a minimum in accordance with the current State Wage Rate Schedules. Bidders are also advised that contracts require participation by NYS certified Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprises as follows: MBE Goal: 10% and WBE Goal: 20%
The project completion date is October 1, 2018. Refer to Article 13 of the General Conditions regarding liquidated damages.

Equal Rights Heritage Center

Sealed bids for the Equal Rights Heritage Center Project for the City of Auburn will be received at the Engineering Department, Memorial City Hall, 24 South Street, Auburn, New York, until 1:30 pm, local time, on November 6, 2017, and then at said time publicly opened and read. Each bid must be prepared and submitted in accordance with the Information for Bidders and must be accompanied by Bid Security in the form of a certified check or bid bond in the amount of 5% of the bid.
The project included four (4) contacts: 1701-GWC General Contract, 1701-ECW Electrical Work, 1701-HCW Mechanical Work, and 1701-PWC Plumbing Work.
Contract work includes, but is not limited to, the construction of an approximately 7,500 SF Equal Rights Heritage Center, composed of board formed concrete~and stud framed walls, brick facing, a glulam timber roof structure, metal roofing, geothermal heating and cooling; and the associated demolition of asphalt paving, tree and vegetation removal; site excavation, drainage and erosion control; construction of paths, steps, and plaza; improvements to the street including setting curb, replacing sidewalk, and reconfiguration of intersections; installation of site utilities including water lines, sewage lines, electrical distribution, site lighting; and installation of site amenities and plantings.
Bidders are advised that contracts will require the contractor and subcontractors to pay prevailing wage rates as a minimum in accordance with the current State Wage Rate Schedules.
